Global Retail Markets (GRM) Technology is searching for a Senior Product Owner. The East and West Regional Architecture and Applications team is focused on delivering global capabilities aligned with GRM East and West strategic business priorities. Global Applications engages with local country teams to develop regional and global solutions that enable quality results, faster delivery and lower costs for local operations.

In this role, you will be responsible for product-specific global architecture objectives and customer satisfaction with the product delivery, product manageability and speed to market. Responsible for articulating and translating the overall global business architecture vision into strategy and tactics for specific journeys and/or product(s). Leads a team of solution engineers and manages an Agile runway team with stakeholders to align priorities, remove roadblocks and secure resources. Accountable for outcomes and key KPI`s tied directly to business and architecture objectives.

You will be a technical servant leader with product owner & scrum master responsibilities capable of working with solution engineers in collaboration with senior architecture vision and strategy to help prioritize a backlog that solves for the gap between intentional architecture and business capability development by producing architectural working software solutions. Architecture working software solutions include the need to build and maintain cook books, implementation guides, and foundational working software. This position will help realize the global architecture strategy into incremental foundational deliveries that enable the delivery teams to deliver faster in a more shareable, scalable and incremental fashion globally.

About the role:

  • Sets ambitious and clear architecture runway strategy, develops comprehensive architectural product vision and translates into specific feature strategies and roadmaps.
  • Responsible for business and architecture results of the related set of customer journeys or products as measured by relevant KPI`s.
  • Responsible for communicating the product architecture vision effectively to key stakeholders and team members.
  • Works closely with IT and other Business Unit counterparts to ensure resource alignment in support of product vision and roadmaps
  • Ensures customer-driven shareable design considering user pain points usability test results, while using market industry knowledge to deliver a well-positioned product
  • Owns alignment of development and business resources on goals and priorities while working with stakeholders and team to remove roadblocks to execution.
  • Directly collaborates and works with a team of solution engineers who are responsible for all aspects of global architecture journey/product lifecycles.
  • Participates to provide feedback, support, coaching, in sprint-and release plans in addition to other Scrum Master duties.
  • Manages delivery of scope, partners with the architecture runway team to ensure user stories are clear and resolves open issues/questions quickly and efficiently.
  • Acts as the `voice of global architecture. ` Leads the analysis of feasibility, cost ramifications, economies, or other aspects of planned or potential programs.
  • Approves final stories and approves completed user features or series of features.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of Agile development methodologies as typically acquired through a Bachelors` degree in relevant field (business, computer science, etc.) and a minimum of 10 years` experience in business, engineering, technology and/or consulting. Master`s degree preferred.
  • High level of proven business expertise needed to set clear priorities for product and understand business value impacts.
  • Technical proficiency required to participate in sprint planning and have an informed, independent voice.
  • Strong influencing skills in order to be seen as the decision maker when interfacing with business & architecture, and willingness to dissent with both teams and business.
  • Proven experience with Agile practices and expectations.
  • Comfortable with making decisions with some level of uncertainty.
  • Ability to perform product owner and scrum master duties as needed
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willing to travel as needed - up to 15-20% of the time.
