Software Developer

As an Agile-Scrum team within Corporate Functions we support the Global Compensation - Enterprise Talent Practices business unit. Our team supports a mixture of custom-built and vendor-configurable applications. Our passion for placing the user at the center of everything we do is driving our incremental approach to software feature development and delivery.
About the job:
As a Software Developer you will work within our Agile-Scrum team to develop user-centric software products from idea to production deployment and continued support in our Dev-Ops model. Our applications run on AWS, as SaaS, On-Premise and require a broad range of skills including Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Spring Boot, JavaScript and React. SQL Server, PostgreSQL and Oracle experience would be a nice to have. This is a fast-paced environment providing rapid delivery for our business partners. You will be working in a highly collaborative environment within a team of 10 other Software Engineers that value speed and quality, with a strong desire to drive change as we continue along our Agile journey.
Desired development skills:
- Experience developing cloud-hosted, responsive, single page web applications using JavaScript, Java, HTML5, CSS3.
- Proficiency with client-side JavaScript frameworks (preferably React/Redux).
- Experience with server-side frameworks (preferably NodeJS) and preferably PostgreSQL.
- Able to integrate with and manage APIs exposing microservices (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) including development and support of Java/JavaScript services.
- Informatica (ETL) experience is a plus.
- Experience working with Agile-Scrum methodology and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers and Business Analysts).
- Understanding of CI/CD process and tools, testing frameworks and practices (preferably GitHub, Bamboo, Mocha/Karma).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills a must.
- A Bachelors degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience. 1-3 years of professional experience.
Must be proactive, demonstrate initiative and be a logical thinker.
Strong collaboration, organizational, prioritization and adaptability skills required.
