Job Summary
Under General Supervision, responsible for coordinating, conducting and documenting complex financial analysis, and/or reporting projects, and/or maintaining financial systems. Position does not manage others, But may serve as a team lead. Team Lead: Directs daily work activities of a small group of employees. Works with higher level manager to set goals/objectives and provides input regarding performance of employees being led.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Support evaluation of Select Supplemental Compensation deals particularly related to Payroll Partners, National Practice, and Consolidations. Create contracts in partnership with Agency Compensation, review to ensure alignment with intended terms, and monitor results.
- Establish reporting package for Select commission deals including post monitoring for field leadership.
- Create policies and procedures for commission requests and governance.
- Understand base commissions structure and process for Agribusiness, Northland, Northfield, and National Programs to identify opportunities for best practices, documentation and controls.
- Centralize Small Commercial base commissions exceptions monitoring including distribution of monthly report, tracking of responses, and confirming changes.
- Support centralization effort to transfer administrative support for supplemental agreements for business units not currently in Enterprise Agency Compensation systems (Northland/Northfield). Also develop financial monitoring process for these contracts to assist the GAAP team in determining accrual adequacy.
- Support commission initiatives including changes related to product rollout (TPP) and creation of new capabilities; partner with Enterprise Agency Compensation and Agency Journey to support evolution of processes.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred. Typically 4+ years of related experience. General knowledge of Financial Analysis concepts, principles and processes.

Intermediate data utilization skills to access and gather data, including a basic understanding of what the data represents. Intermediate written and verbal communication skills. Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook). Intermediate influencing of cross functional peers. Intermediate business perspective including an understanding of the political nature of the organization. Intermediate project management skills. Ability to identify customers needs and take appropriate action to meet those needs. Ability to work well in tight timeframes and deadlines. Intermediate ability to present material concisely.
