Position Summary

The compensation analyst is the key resource for the company's salary and incentive programs. This role will ensure that current compensation practices are compliant with Crawford’s philosophy. Additionally The Compensation Analyst works closely with the HRIS team to ensure compensation related actions are updated and appropriately reflected in the HRIS database and serves as an information source regarding pay practices and policies. The qualified candidate provides advice to managers/directors on new or non-routine compensation decisions for employees, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the Director of Total Rewards on a variety of projects, including structure design, job analysis and bonus plan administration.
  • Manages projects such as survey participation, FLSA analysis, North America merit process and compensation integration for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Updates grade matrix and ensure job descriptions are updated with any changes to positions, new positions that result in new grade or change in grade
  • Manages files for Short Term Incentive Plan as well as global data for Training Department use.
  • Evaluates market survey data to recommend range adjustments for salary structure and individual job rates as requested.
  • Conducts compensation activities including job evaluation, market pay analysis, internal equity analysis, data audits and analysis, implementation, and assists with communication strategies.
  • Ensures compensation programs and job classifications comply with applicable wage and hour laws.
  • Advise on appropriate salary placement for new hires and promotion
  • Works with HRIS team to ensure that the Lawson meets compensation needs and is updated to reflect changes to salary structures, bonus programs, etc.
  • Develops and documents procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Coordinates with HR managers to educate managers.
  • Assists HR managers and other managers with compensation-related issues.
  • Upholds the Crawford Code of Conduct
Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • 2-3 of progressively responsible experience in compensation administration.
  • Certified Compensation Professional designation is a plus.
  • Market pricing and survey submission experience, strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel required.
  • Knowledge of FLSA regulations.
