Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience
The Senior Lead Auditor role has the responsibility for overall planning, execution and reporting on individual audit projects assigned as lead. The Senior Auditor must provide the appropriate level of project planning, delegation of work, supervision and review of staff work to ensure the project follows the audit execution process and that professional standards are met. The Senior Auditor will be responsible for leading strategic and complex audits.
The individual may be responsible for or involved with:
- Audit planning and execution, including risk assessment, process analysis, and control evaluation.
- Coordinating the work of other project members on leadership assignments.
- Partnering with Management in support of key initiatives and projects.
- Leading audit engagements.
**Travel requirements are minimal (15%).
Job Qualifications
- College degree required - major preference of Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology. Masters degree a plus.
- 3+ years of relevant audit experience, public accounting or internal audit
- Proven project leadership
- CPA, CIA, or insurance-related certification or study is a plus (must be acquired within 18 months of joining the group)
- Computer proficiency
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate complex business topics to management via reports, memos, and verbal communication
- Ability to contribute to a team
- Excellent project and time management skills
Experience with Internal Audit practices and methodologies or relevant business experience is required. We will also provide additional education through individualized training, and extensive support in the areas of career development, continuing education, and the attainment of professional certifications.

Internal Audit department expectation: New hires can expect to spend their first twenty-four months in a specialized development program where you will be mentored and trained on the various organizations within Allstate, our auditing methodologies, as well as gaining the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities needed to help you have a successful career in the Allstate Internal Audit department.
