Assurant has an exciting opportunity for a Product Configuration Assistant!

This individual willassist inthe development and maintenance of the insurance rating, system control, financial mapping and reporting support tables on all Underwriting Business systems. The positionhelpsconfigure products, identifies and documents all unexpected results andworks with other team members to proposesolutions to management. The Product ConfigurationAssistantwillassist in thereview of current business processes to determine if they are effective and efficient in supporting current business objectives. This role possesses abasiclevel of product and system knowledge that helps support product delivery and future new product concepts. This position can report to various supervising roles in the Actuarial department including the Product Configuration Supervisor or Manager & the Director of Actuarial Info Management.

Responsibilities

  • Helps deployproducts, which includes but not limited to: product rate files, vehicle class, eligibility constraints, accounting distribution(s), line of business reporting, rate calculation methods and dynamic form setup,as directed
  • Learns how to interpret, extract & reconcile data from production tables that will be used to support Underwriting and Actuarial reviews, as well as State DOI audits/compliance
  • Implement and maintain products on application and legacy systems
  • Ensures products adhere to product specificationas directed by manager
  • Learns process and how to createtest cases, perform testing and document results
  • Provide support analyzing basicpolicy and rating issues;suggest solutions for current business processes
  • Assist in the investigation, correction, and mitigation oferrors found
  • Help supportUAT during system modifications and enhancements
  • Manages and documents assigned projects and maintains current project list that includes status, milestones & deadlines, accessible to manager
  • Perform all other duties and participate in special projects assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years or less of overall professional experience
  • Travel Required: None

Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Business, or Computer Science
  • 2 years or less of overall professional experience
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office Applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SharePoint
  • Basic understanding of warranty or insurance product knowledge/terminology
  • Basicunderstanding of database theory and experience working with databases is preferred
  • Self-driven with a desire to successfully take on new challenges and additional responsibilities
  • Can work on multiple projects with varying deadlines and prioritizes
  • Asks questions to clarify and seeks out information
  • Understands how to accurately produce reports, memorandums, and other communications needed for internal and external requests by following specificationsin place
  • Demonstrates competent analytical skills
  • Has strong organizational skills
