Job Summary
Under direct supervision, responsible for intake and application of portfolio premium, location and management information, ensuring that it is complete, booked, recorded in the appropriate systems in a timely manner for assigned clients. In this capacity, works directly with client companies, Relationship Managers and Client Managers to gather or provide information related to the portfolio data; with internal departments to trouble shoot and resolve data and service issues; with IT to provide incidents or requirements on key systems and technical processes; to aid in the development and execution of user acceptance testing plans and execution. Also works directly with BoilerRE client companies and underwriters as the primary contact on the quotation and issuance of Facultative Reinsurance business and / or in support of field underwriters as dictated by authorities if / as assigned. This job does not lead others.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Manages, monitors and reports (escalating there appropriate) the timely reporting of client company portfolio data. Ensures portfolio financial, location and other data is applied completely, timely and accurately in accordance with department standards. Prepares periodic and annual reporting for Sales and local Management supporting relationship, experience and opportunity discussions. Maintains strong relationships with internal partners and client company contacts. Proactively identifies, escalates and / or follows department standards regarding escalation of file and data issues. Manages any monoline program activities, including coordination with the Service Center and customer service to Program Managers. Analyze and summarize issues, including effective communication of same to internal partners and stakeholders. Exercises discretion and independent judgment responsibly. Works to minimize accounting discrepancies and write-offs. Utilizes a variety of available technology effectively to ensure capacity is maintained to respond to internal and external customers according to established standards. Identifies, analyzes and/or initiates requests for changes/new requirements to production system, determine impact to existing systems processes and act as business unit SME to develop appropriate specifications, enhancements and/or procedures to comply. Understands and meets management information needs of internal and external clients according to established standards, including problem research/resolution and customer education. This includes but is not limited to timely and accurate creation of stewardship reports and support for and participation in CUREs and internal audits. Perform all necessary functions to meet strategic goals and objectives of the unit. Uses technology to collect, evaluate, analyze and process large data files. Completes a monthly accounting reconciliation for each file processed. Quotes, issues and books Facultative Reinsurance accounts within very short timeframes, with a high degree of accuracy. Provides support to Client Companies, field sales and underwriting staff, client company underwriting staff; defines and meets all service objectives. Responsibilities extend to projects, meetings and other events, both in planning and/or as participant. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. Minimum of 2 years experience required in the insurance and/or reinsurance industry.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Typically has 2-4 years experience in insurance, strategy, project management, and/or reinsurance. Strong knowledge of business/financial technology applications, including the MS Office suite, specifically proficiency in Excel, Power Point and Word. Exposure to Access is desirable, but not required. Analytical/business/ reporting and accounting skills.

Knowledge of the insurance business. Relationship-building skills. Technical knowledge in the use of spreadsheet / database applications. Written and oral communication skills; ability to present subjects clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. A sense of urgency with respect to problem resolution: ability to recognize and analyze problems and develop timely, practical and cost-effective solutions with minimal supervision. Ability to respond quickly to changing priorities. Ownership of decisions and actions. Effective desk management. Accountability for meeting business needs. Ability to recognize opportunities to improve customer service and ensure appropriate action is taken. Ingenuity: ability to take new perspectives, see new patterns, try new ways to work effectively.
