Job Summary
This strategic, highly visible, and transformational leadership role will drive the evolution of the Operations strategy and ensure alignment to the Business, Technology and Operations roadmaps. This role is accountable for driving the Operational Transformation strategy and plan ensuring the day to day execution directly aligned to business outcomes. The Operations strategy aligns with and impacts all Travelers business segments, has strong interdependencies with technology, data & analytics and Customer Journey work and requires complex navigation and influencing capabilities. The transformation efforts span the 6,000 Operational resources and have significant deliverables associated with differentiated experience, efficiency targets and enablement of top line growth across all business segments. This role will provide expert level technical consulting, generate new ideas, influence senior management on value to their organization and achieving recommended benefits. This role is accountable for identifying and executing deliverables where technology and operations capabilities intersect to deliver business outcomes. This job is a Manager of managers: Senior level manager that is responsible for managing the objectives, performance, and compensation of lower levels of management. This job works under Broad Oversight: Receives guidance in terms of broad goals and overall objectives and establishes the methods to attain them. Generally the incumbent is in charge of an area of work and typically formulates policy for this area, but may have final authority for approving policy.

Marketing Description
This strategic, highly visible, and transformational leadership role will drive the evolution of the Operations strategy and ensure alignment to the Business, Technology and Operations roadmaps. This role leads an organization of approximately 550 professionals engaged in technology implementations, strategy facilitation and delivery, process management and optimization, learning, quality, workforce management, intelligent process automation, etc.
The role is accountable for driving the Operational Transformation strategy across all businesses and segments and ensuring the day to day execution directly aligned to business outcomes.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Play a key executive leadership role as a strategic business partner and primary liaison with Enterprise stakeholders, Line of Business leaders, Technology and Operational Effectiveness leaders and Enterprise teams. Establish vision and implement strategic direction aligned to Travelers business strategy and goals. Ensure operational readiness and effectiveness by relentlessly focus on the evolving product strategy, and underwriting process and workflows to. Align business performance toward identified and new investments and portfolios. Identify opportunities to improve business results, leverage technology and automation, maximize financial benefit of identified and new investments, increase organizational capacity, differentiate customer, agent and employee experience, improve accuracy and timeliness, drive change management disciplines, redesign roles, skills and functions, and improve operational controls. Drive organizational transformation, including redesign of functions and roles. Direct process innovation and drive operational effectiveness. Accelerate change adoption. Create a vision for talent recruiting, development and performance while capitalizing upon an emerging and evolving workforce. Leverage the broader Operational Effectiveness teams to ensure the capabilities to manage business metric performance and adherence as well as identifying opportunities to improve business results, decrease costs, increase available capacity, improve accuracy and timeliness, change behaviors, redesign roles and functions, and improve operational controls. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
8 years' experience in operations or related field (e.g., underwriting, sales) 4 years' management experience

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
10 - 12 years of technology, operations or related experience Property & Casualty knowledge and experience Process engineering background Experience transforming organizations and managing executive stakeholder engagement Experience leveraging technology, analytics and automation to drive significant business value.
