Job Summary
Kanban Masters are servant leaders and coach agile teams comprised of multidisciplinary groups of individuals that deliver business value and/or services in increments. Kanban Masters facilitate a team's success by educating the team on agile principles and practices, removing impediments, fostering high-performance team dynamics, promoting continuous flow and improvement, and coordinating activities with other teams.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
You will...
* Serve as Kanban master for one or more teams.
* Facilitate, guide and work with your team to optimize the flow of value through the team ensuring progress toward objectives, goals and commitments.
* Coach and mentor teams at scale on Lean-Agile principles, values and practices.
* Plan and facilitate team-level ceremonies/cadences such as standups, iteration planning/replenishment and retrospectives to ensure full team engagement.
* Manage interdependencies between agile teams.
* Partner with the team product owner to ensure the team is always working on the most valuable piece of work and support those responsible for identifying and prioritizing the work/scope backlog.
* Ensure team members collaborate and work effectively within the team and with other teams to manage risks, dependencies and impediments.
* Promote positive team dynamics, encourage collaboration, guide the team toward self-organization, remove team-level impediments and resolve conflicts across the teams.
* Facilitate team-level planning, tracking, measurement/metrics, reporting and financial management activities. Provide visibility to the team and stakeholders and enable high-quality decision-making.
* Build and leverage effective alliances across other teams and the technical and business communities. Participate in Communities of Practice.
* Focus teams on customer value, quality and continuous improvement activities.


Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. 2 years of project management experience required.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. 5 years of project management experience preferred. Experience managing others and/or project teams preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline and minimum of 2 years of experience in technology delivery-based business solutions or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* At least 1 year Scrum Master experience or equivalent job experience for a software development team
*Strong communication and coaching skills, and ability to facilitate.
* Experience working with continuous improvement, empowerment, transparency and servant leadership.
* Working knowledge of agile approaches such as Kanban, Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), etc.
