How This Role Contributes to Brighthouse Financial:

Assist in the day-to-day operations of the insurance investment management compliance program, with a focus on ensuring the General Account, Managed Separate Accounts, and Reinsurance Trust Accounts (together, Brighthouse Accounts) comply with applicable policies and procedures and investment guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the day-to-day operations of the compliance oversight program for the Brighthouse Accounts.
• Perform compliance monitoring and testing for the Brighthouse Accounts; investigate pre and post-trade compliance alerts, working with various internal and external stakeholders to reconcile data issues; raise questions as appropriate to ensure reasonable solutions to business needs.
• Convey identified compliance issues to asset managers and document corrective action as appropriate.
• Compile data and provide periodic reporting to various internal stakeholders.
• Prepare account compliance certifications.
• Analyze hundreds of account investment guidelines and share responsibility with team members for coding them into the BlackRock Aladdin system (Aladdin) in coordination with other internal stakeholders.
• Build new compliance rules, enhance existing compliance coding, investigate/troubleshoot potential errors within Aladdin using its coding language, which is similar to SQL.
• Perform periodic reviews and document monitoring and/or testing results of the controls in place to ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures and investment guidelines.
• Assist in preparation for due diligence reviews of external asset managers.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Bachelors degree required Minimum 1 3 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry Exposure to and/or experience with investment compliance monitoring preferred Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex and diverse information Systems knowledge: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel; experience with Aladdin and/or SQL a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels Able to work successfully both independently and in a team environment Successful track record for delivering results in a timely manner
