Liberty Mutuals Customer Experience (CX) department in our commercial insurance business is working to transform how large companies our nations employers, community builders, and game changers purchase the insurance they need to keep business running when things go wrong.

Using design thinking principles, this small but impactful research and design team is driving change for our organization by innovating at the core of our business and identifying novel solutions to the unique challenges our customers face.

Under limited direction, the UX Researcher will have the unique opportunity to devise new products and solutions that deliver a tangible impact in an industry undergoing a major customer-centric shift.

What youll do

  • Plan and conduct primary customer research including in-depth interviews, card sorts, contextual inquiries, surveys, and concept validation

  • Capture and analyze insights through both generative and evaluative research to reshape moments with our customers

  • Interpret consumer research to identify opportunity areas and new product, service, and business model concepts

  • Leverage research findings and lead project teams focused on creating experiences that delight

  • Communicate latent needs of our customers to business stakeholders through empathy driven storytelling

  • Champion the interests of our customers across the organization

Some qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant work experience in user research

  • Degree in human factors, psychology, market research, experience design, or similar field

  • Experience with design thinking principles and agile methodology
