Job Description
LOCATION: Primary location is Charlotte, NC but qualified candidates in Irving, TX may be considered as well.
Its an exciting time to be part of the Allstate Enterprise Architecture Department! In this role you will work beside top IT talent in a highly collaborative culture, while also getting to learn about new technology and making a huge impact on Allstate! You will be accountable for building and leading a team of Architects, defining all core infrastructure target states and roadmaps, as well as defining repeatable patterns for our Engineering organization.
Job Summary:
The Senior Manager of Infrastructure Architecture is expected to lead an organization within Enterprise Architecture that consists of several Architects and domains. This person sets the strategic direction for their organization in support of the business objectives of the company, ensuring the structures and processes needed to effectively deliver the mission of their organization are in place. They create a work environment that enables their employees to be their best and deliver on their accountabilities. They are personally accountable for leading organizational change, delivering business results by working across the organization and development of employees. They demonstrate a high level of influence within their own organization, with their business partners, peer leaders and senior leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains relationships with all levels of employees by creating an environment of safety and innovation within their organization and across peer groups
- Models and creates an environment of accountability for their organization, peer groups and leaders by setting clear performance objectives in support of business outcomes
- Serves as a role model for personal development, incorporating 360-degree performance feedback. Maintains organizational focus on talent development
- Develops ideas and team strategy that have long-term, strategic impact on area of responsibility and that align with Enterprise direction. Responsible for initiating work and allocating resources necessary to implement strategy and achieve organizational goals
- Provide technical and professional leadership over large or complex initiatives where multiple architectural disciplines are involved. Execute governance over solutions developed by architects
- Identify opportunities to enhance the architecture. Create and articulate the case for change by highlighting the potential business/customer benefits.
Job Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors' Degree with technical study or equivalent experience
Experience:
- 12+ years technical experience in Infrastructure architecture, design, and/or project management is required
- 5+ years of management experience; should include accountability for all aspects of leading an Enterprise organization including people processes, client/partner relationships, work processes and delivery of work products is required
- 5+ years broad infrastructure experience including but not limited to Storage, Desktop, Virtualization, Data Centers, Private Cloud, etc is required
Preferred:
- Experience with Data Center as a Service
- Experience with Network Segmentation
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
