What you'll do:

 

When you join the Automobile Club of Southern California as a Claims Unit Manager, you're bringing your expertise to a best-in-class organization that is focused on delivering quality service to our members.  As a Unit Manager within our Claims department you will:

  • Ensure all claims within the unit meet or exceed quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements as well as company technical and customer service Best Practices including vendor management.
  • Regularly review appropriate claim files for quality and monitor results of all audits, performance reports and customer survey data.
  • Ensure corrective actions are taken to correct deficiencies.
  • Recruit and develop people.
  • Effectively oversee/participate with the management team in employee recruitment to ensure appropriate staffing.
  • Identify and implement staff development and training needs to support an effective succession plan.
  • Provide timely and responsive employee coaching and performance counseling.

 


Qualifications

What you bring:

  • Four year degree or commensurate experience highly desirable.
  • Technical experience includes 7 to 10 years of claims handling, strong organizational skills, planning and delegation.
  • Strong communication skills are a must as well as excellent interpersonal skills and can effectively lead change.
