Overview

AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. is looking for a Client Technology Specialist. We are seeking an experienced technology professional who is interested in joining a collaborative technical team responsible for transforming the way we support our end users across the globe. This position will be a member of a small team consisting of two Client Technology Specialists, both acting as subject matter experts in the areas of end user computing technologies. The Client Technology Specialist will play a critical role with client image management, hardware/software deployments, patching, security vulnerability remediation, and all associated duties in a collaborative and fast-moving environment.


Primary Job Responsibilities:


Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the design, buildout, and management of our end-user compute environments. You will be responsible for the implementation, administration, and management of an enterprise client environment working to standardize and enhance overall corporate computing to meet business demand within the following areas:


 OS Image Creation & Deployments
 Software Application Packaging & Deployment
 Automation/Scripting
 Software Application Management
 Client Security Management

Responsibilities

o Serve as a technical expert collaborating with other areas of IT and the business to assess, troubleshoot, resolve or make recommendations to address complex computer hardware and software issues.
o Acts as a resource to other Technology Services staff as they consult with users to identify and resolve problems, understand needs, assess feasibility, and develop effective technology solutions to meet those needs.
o Assist with the research, customization, packaging, quality assurance, deployments, testing and maintenance of end-user technology.
o Assist with the establishment and implementation of an approach to build, test, and maintain software packages in support of corporate initiatives and business needs.
o Participate in the design and management of enterprise desktop and laptop systems.
o Assistance with all migration projects associated with end user computing.
o Optimize systems by identifying and leveraging integration opportunities at the hardware, software and interface level.
o Assist with the creation and maintenance of standards related to system configurations, security, and other IT services.
o Act as the focal point to integrate new technologies/systems into the existing environment.
o Provide Level 3 desktop support to the organization as needed.
o Assist with the evaluation and in the selection of new systems/tools and software for the enterprise.
o Assist with the evaluation of current processes, procedures, and technology with an emphasis on identifying methods of improving effectiveness in providing support to end users.
o Resolve escalated technical support incidents from the Service Desk
o Provide leadership by example to the Desktop Support team.
o Maintain documentation for Standard Operating Procedures and System Configuration Items.
o Works individually and with teams on both structured and unstructured assignments.
o Perform other tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

o Minimum 10 years of overall IT experience working within a Windows environment.
o Minimum 3 years of recent experience packaging applications and application updates utilizing SCCM.
o Minimum 3 years of experience creating, deploying, and managing OS images utilizing technologies such as SCCM, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Windows Deployment Services (WDS), Windows Pre-installation Environment (WinPE), Windows Automated Installation Kit (WAIK), and Pre-Boot Execution Environment (PXE)
o Minimum 2 years of experience with utilizing Microsoft SCCM for automated software distributions
o Minimum if 2 years utilizing SCCM for windows patch management.
o Operating system deployments for both Windows and Mac systems.
o Knowledge working with SCCM site servers (CAS, Primary and Secondary) and SCCM Systems servers such as Distribution points, management point, and reporting server.
o Experience with the analyzation of SCCM log files
o Extensive knowledge Active Directory
o Enterprise level implementation and management of client device encryption practices
o Group Policy management
o Strong experience with scripting, sequencing and packaging (Powershell)
o Proven ability to develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive IT documentation.
o Firm understanding of configuration management and automation.
o Experience as a contributor on mid-size to enterprise wide projects

o MacOS system provisioning, imaging, and management. (Centrify, Parallels)
o Developing operational procedures & processes.
o Defining and reporting on key metrics.
