Job Description
The Program Manager is responsible for accelerating large scale, enterprise wide transformation at Allstate. This position is a program lead with the responsibility to oversee execution and analytics/reporting to achieve desired results across the transformation portfolio. This position will collaborate closely with senior leaders across the enterprise to drive change and understand transformation progress through all phases of the transformation lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide thought leadership to support the translation of strategic priorities into an integrated transformation roadmap and ensure the right resources are available to support
- Actively build strong relationships across the enterprise to facilitate coordination and alignment between the business transformation team and other areas across the business
- Partner with leaders across the enterprise to provide cross-functional working teams and senior leaders visibility into progress, risks, issues, and metrics for the transformation
- Support the implementation and refinement of the integrated transformation plan which includes prioritization and coordination of workstreams with urgency and accountability for results; Partner with existing PMOs to streamline and leverage reporting tools and processes
- Proactively identify risks, design mitigation strategies and execute to avoid issues, escalating to leadership (as needed)
- Support the development and establishment of standard governance and execution structures required to accelerate progress
- Analyze proposed workstreams and initiatives for strategic fit to the transformation, including prioritization, dependency identification, value, and other business impacts
- Collaborate with key partners to track progress and communicate transformation/workstream(s) status on a regular basis to all impacted parties and inform next steps for completion
- Ensure achievement of the transformation within and across execution teams by clearly communicating objectives and coordinating milestone check ins based on consistent governance and management standards
- Understand the key in-flight existing initiatives across the Allstate enterprise that impact Allstates ability to deliver on the transformation; Coordinate these initiatives with the transformation strategy
Job Qualifications
- 7 or more years of related experience
- A bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- Advanced project and program management skills; Ability to understand the enterprise strategy and translate objectives into action plans
- Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility when faced with ambiguity or change in project scope without impacting the project in a negative way
- Advanced critical thinking and holistic problem-solving skills including the ability to structure, analyze, and resolve complex problems quickly and easily
- Proven track record of delivering excellent results aligned with strategic objectives that are measurable and sustainable
- Ability to work as part of a team, communicate and foster collaborative relationships at all levels of the organization to maximize the achievement of business outcomes
- Advanced ability to influence others, structuring and presenting documents to effectively communicate with and inspire trust of cross-functional partners and senior leaders to drive alignment and decision making
- Adapts quickly to changing environments and helps others adapt
- Ability to proactively plan to achieve results in line with an organizations short and long-term goals
- Advanced in Microsoft Office suite skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Project)
