Job Summary
Under General Direction, develops most complex graphic design of marketing content for a variety of marketing medium. Position does not manage others, but may provide guidance and/or training to less seasoned team members. General Direction: Establishes procedures for attaining specific goals and objectives in a broad area of work. Generally final results are reviewed. (Typically applies to a manager or expert/top level professional.)

Marketing Description
Claim is seeking a high impact design veteran to help lead our external communications visual efforts. The candidate, who should have a strong background in the visual arts and be highly-skilled in the use of design tools, will work with business partners in and outside of Claim to help develop and deliver the Claim narrative visually to a variety of audiences. The candidate will work with product and channel managers and should be adept at developing content for web, print and video.


Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Determines medium best suited to produce the desired visual effect and the most appropriate vehicle for communications. Partners with copywriter/creative team to develop multiple concepts/campaigns for assigned product/projects. Oversee the development and delivery of print and/or digital graphic content for marketing initiatives. Develop most complex/sophisticated graphic content for use across different mediums and published across company print, social and/or digital marketing channels. Develop and deliver print and/or digital graphic content for broader/ more complex marketing initiatives. Areas of focus may include one or more of the following: Product brochures Displays Presentations Web applications Mobile or interactive media Social e-Mail Recommend graphics design standards and techniques consistent with marketing objectives to marketing and/or business partners, including senior management. Consult with marketing and business partners to define graphics strategies and oversee execution of initiatives to complement overall functionality and purpose of the design effort. Ensure that overall department design initiatives support business objectives, delivering required look, feel and appeal. Utilizes a wide array of graphics applications, software, tools and equipment to create designs. Stays abreast of cutting edge technology and makes recommendations to senior management on potential enhancements. Manage longer term projects and ensure that projects within function are completed. Defines design parameters/strategies that capture and project corporate identity and maximize style, brand identification and visually translates desired impact. Provide input to senior management on print and/or digital design strategies to ensure that visual and brand identity are reinforced by all graphic design efforts. May provide technical guidance and/or training to other designers. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 6 years of related work experience. Thorough knowledge of a variety of digital and graphics design presentation tools, techniques and applications, including animation, interaction and other developing capabilities.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor's Degree in graphics design from AIGA accredited school or equivalent experience preferred. Typically 6-8 years of related experience. Thorough Knowledge: Possesses advanced knowledge of subject matter in order to solve unusual as well as common work problems.

Advanced graphic design development skills. Advanced level skills with graphic design presentation tools and applications. Advanced project management skills and ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Advanced verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management within organization. Advanced ability to think creatively and outside the box in developing designs for marketing efforts. Advanced analytic and problem solving skills. Advanced leadership skills including ability to: Understand and navigate organization. Advanced skill/competency level: demonstrates advanced knowledge and ability; can apply the competency in new or complex situations. May guide other professionals.

Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
Hands on experience with Adobe Premier, After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Blender and content management systems.
Demonstrated experience with digital and graphic design tools.
Experience adapting a concept to all mediums (print, video, digital and other current and emerging mediums).
