Description:

Under general direction of a Marketing Manager or Associate Marketing Manager, the Senior Marketing Specialist implements marketing projects for assigned business lines from initiation to production and through to recommendations for next steps and takes a lead role in coordinating the activities of vendors, agencies, internal staff and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget and on strategy. Marketing channels may include print, web, radio, outdoor, merchandising and promotions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensures tracking mechanisms are in place for assigned projects and performs basic results analysis, proactively offering solutions and recommendations for next steps to management.

  • Identifies the impact of marketing projects on the various channels (brick-and-mortar, web, call center) and communicates with the appropriate business units.

  • The Senior Marketing Specialist has some experience with developing marketing plans, media plans, including identifying a segmentation strategy, and managing a marketing budget in addition to proactively initiating projects as appropriate to support the business strategy.

  • Takes the initiative to reach out to the appropriate stakeholders (internal and external) and coordinate communication to achieve objectives.

  • Monitors the industry and competition and maintains knowledge of best practices and legal requirements for assigned product lines.


Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or Business Administration is preferred.

  • 3-5 years' experience in Marketing or in a related field is required.

  • Experience in coordinating and supporting large-scale marketing/promotional efforts is required.

  • Strong knowledge and experience with direct marketing (especially direct mail) is required.

  • Some experience developing marketing plans and managing a marketing budget preferred.

  • Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and leadership skills, maintaining a professional demeanor and communicating effectively with management.

  • Requires a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Adobe, and Internet applications as well as experience with a graphics application.

  • Must have the ability to manage a heavy workload with competing priorities under general direction.

  • Successful completion of Auto Club pre-employment assessments, background and drug screenings.
