LMI Technology is actively searching for a Software Engineer to guide in analysis, design, coding, and testing of new software, improvements to existing products, or interfaces and reporting in support of a large scale implementation of a cloud-based commercial off-the-shelf investment accounting package.

About the role:

The Engineer will develop technology to enable Back Office Investment functions (trade flows, accounting, reconciliation, reporting, and automated batch scheduling workflows). You should have working knowledge of investment financial data to serve application integration and reporting needs. Prior experience working on an Agile scrum team is desired.

  • You will possess a hardworking can-do mindset with focus on the collective success of the scrum team to iteratively deliver high quality products to enable the investments business
  • Collaborates with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Development team to define and analyze user stories tracked in Jira
  • Participates in coding review; identifies defects and resolves collaboratively with development team via Bitbucket
  • Executes and supports all levels of functional/system testing
  • Demonstrates solutions and articulates business value to LMI business partners at sprint showcases
  • Ability to balance improvement of legacy solutions with delivery of new business capabilities
  • Mentors new developers and junior developers

Qualifications:

  • Experienced with multiple programming or scripting languages (C#, Python) and database technologies (MS SQL Server preferred; Other database technologies are a plus: PostgreSQL or NoSQL: Cassandra, MongoDB)
  • Experience with NodeJS, Angular/React, REST API
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server technology stack (SSIS)
  • Working knowledge of Agile software development practices (story sizing, sprint planning, retrospectives)
  • Experience with automated testing software (Selenium, Ranorex, Tosca), CI/CD pipeline, and DevOps
  • Knowledge of Cloud platform technologies (AWS, Azure)
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools and reporting solutions (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Bachelors degree in technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • Generally 5 years of professional experience
