Develops internal communications strategies that support medium to large-scale business objectives. Works with internal stakeholders to develop and implement GRS-wide programs/initiatives. Evaluates effectiveness of campaigns and communications through metrics and analysis. Work is characterized by a high level of independence and ownership of projects and relationships. Works directly with business contacts to develop strategies and solutions that reflect the strategic initiatives and objectives of the business. Provides communications expertise, support, consultation and guidance to business group(s).

Responsibilities:

  • Partners closely with various levels of management to identify business/communication objectives and translate into internal communications plans.
  • Ensures effective delivery of key messages to targeted employee audiences. Ensures alignment with brand, enterprise goals, and culture.
  • Plans and writes internal communications materials for medium to large-scale internal communications publications and channels. Plans and performs research activities pertaining to internal communications channels, strategies, or other writing assignments.
  • Performs project management duties for a portion of a large project and independently owns moderately sized projects and/or channels.
  • Plans, tracks deliverables and approvals, identifies images/graphics, identifies potential conflicts and interfaces with own team and outside teams to execute work.
  • Has regular contact with business partners and recommends internal communications solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Independently conducts interviews with all staff levels including executives and management for the purpose of developing communications strategies and content.
  • Performs editing duties for written material and targeted communications.
  • Contributes to departmental planning including prioritization of projects based on needs of internal clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Communications, English or Journalism) or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related and progressively more responsible experience.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including superb attention to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge of many current and emerging communications technologies.
