We are seeking a Credit Analyst to join our Global Research team. Based in Boston, you will focus on either high yield or investment grade fixed income credits in a number of industries. You will also work independently to conduct fundamental research, build and maintain financial models, effectively communicating investment recommendations that supply maximum performance to our portfolio. Credit Analysts interact with Portfolio Managers, Traders and other investment professionals across our platform.

Responsibilities for this position will include the following:

• Creation and maintenance of detailed financial models to aid in analyzing existing and prospective investments

• Conducting analyses of financial results, evaluate management strategy and market positioning, quality of assets, deal structure and covenant analysis

• Monitoring and listening to relevant news, announcements, and conference calls

• Attending internal and external investment meetings

• Evaluate the technical, macroeconomic, political and regulatory factors that influence industry valuations

• Providing expertise that improves the research agenda of coverage area as well as written research and maintenance reports on companies

Key Responsibilities:

• Senior Investment role with both industry sector credit coverage and managerial responsibilities

• Provides leadership, strategic direction, and prioritization of deliverables for the research team.

• Partners with Portfolio Managers (Global Public Markets Investments), Portfolio Strategy & Analytics (PSA), Head of Public Markets, Trading, Private Capital, Global Portfolio Strategy, and Chief Investment Officer

• Conveys broader investment strategies and priorities. Ability and desire to think on a top-down, macroeconomic level

• Mentors and develops analyst talent: encourages them to take appropriate risks and helps them deal with missteps

• Fosters an investment culture of continuous learning, shared accountability and constructive debate

Qualifications:

• Proven credit skills: excellent bottom-up fundamental modeling and analytical skills, and strong attention to detail. Understanding of relative value/risk return trade off over a credit cycle

• 5 -10 years of credit experience

• A track record of successful investing and consistent alpha generation

• Experience in a total return investing environment

• Strong experience managing and mentoring team of investment professionals

• Deep expertise and insight used to challenge consensus and decision making

• Seeks new, different, and relevant perspectives and proven ability to develop leaders and investment expertise

• Excellent communication skills with a demonstrable capacity to articulate investment insights

• Investment experience from buy-side, sell-side or rating agency environment preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and be a team player

• Strong quantitative and qualitative skills

• Unquestionable integrity and ethical character

• Self-motivated, resourceful, hard-working, diligent

• MBA (or equivalent) and/or CFA preferred

• Based on experience level, there may be management opportunities
