Job Description
The Corporate Strategy group identifies and prioritizes growth opportunities, develops enterprise and business strategies and coordinates strategy execution and alignment.
A Corporate Strategy Senior Consultant performs activities related to market, trend, consumer, channel and competitive assessments. This position develops analytics and presentations in answer to both corporate and business strategy inquiries. This position leverages an advanced understanding of data, information, terminology, and technology (financial modeling software & spreadsheets) to develop reports and recommendations that are shared across the enterprise and at the executive level. The role requires strong written and presentation skills. This position provides leadership opportunities through group collaboration voicing opinions and making recommendations. In addition, the role is accountable training analysts on the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides analytical and research support for market, trend, customer, channel and competitive assessments
- Lead basic financial modeling
- Conduct in-depth analysis, synthesize findings and make recommendations related to enterprise strategy and business unit strategy projects
- Develop high-quality work product that is supported by fact-based analysis
- Effectively communicate key findings and output to stakeholders
- Provide analytic support to interdisciplinary teams across the company
- Provide support with preparing executive management and board level communications
- Provide support for internal alignment; facilitate transparency of work products
- Support relationships with third parties, including research and consulting firms
Job Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience with consulting firm, corporation, investment bank and/or public accounting firm
- Bachelors degree required
- Strong quantitative, analytic, research and PowerPoint skills. Advanced modeling skills.
- Ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative work and to present ideas logically
- Developing ability to structure documents to effectively communicate results of work
- Experience with insurance or other financial institutions preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities given aggressive timelines; comfortable performing in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Demonstrated leadership skills from prior employment and extracurricular activities
