Our Corporate Actuarial Reserving is seeking an actuary to support the comprehensive communication of the risks associated with loss-related balance sheet items. In this role, you will receive exposure to all lines of business across SBU and Corporates balance sheet. Your primary accountabilities will be for the development of risk-management tools so Senior Leadership can take accelerated action and our external partners can have confidence in the strength of our balance sheet. We're looking for someone with strong analytical and communication skills, as well as a proven ability to execute thoroughly in a reciprocal environment.

• Partner with multiple teams (Actuarial, Claims, Underwriting) to understand impacts of initiatives and book of business changes, and incorporate into ongoing reserve analyses
• Clearly communicate results and methods to Corporate and senior leadership across cross-functional teams
• Develop effective tools for monitoring internal and external indications
• Build and implement operational improvement initiatives
• Manage ad hoc projects while collaborating with other team members

• Bachelor's degree required in business, economics, or other quantitative field. Insurance designations (ACAS/FCAS) desirable.
• SAS/SQL coding experience preferred for ad-hoc analyses
• 3-5 years forward-thinking experience in data/actuarial analysis
• Proven understanding of all casualty actuarial techniques, standards, and assumptions.
• Written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively express technical actuarial and statistical concepts to non-technical individuals.
• Ability to establish and build effective relationships within and outside the organization
• Advanced computing skills (MS Office Excel, SAS, etc.); experience building complex models.
