We are currently seeking a Director, Business Development for our Southeast Region who can lead a team that provides strong local presence for our agents and our policyholders. The selected candidate will lead the Regions business efforts through the active formulation, implementation, and execution of marketing and penetration plans for multiple states and manage a team of Business Development Specialists for assigned states.
In this role, you will gather and analyze economic and competitive data for the assigned states. You will also be responsible for coordinated communication of marketing and underwriting initiatives with our agency partners. The Director, Business Development drives agency management practices and efforts in establishing and executing strategies to achieve financial plans. In addition, you will work closely with Home Office and Regions to present FCCIs brand to agents and policyholders. As a part of this strategy, the Director, Business Development will participate in the development and promotion of marketing materials, advertising and proper delivery of appropriate messaging.
Education & Qualifications- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- 8 or more years of relevant commercial, multi-line, P&C marketing and underwriting experience and 3 years in supervisory role
- Excellent knowledge of the independent agency system, specifically the P&C marketplace
- Proven underwriting technical experience
- Experience developing new accounts in the Southeast market preferred
- Valid drivers license
- Work history that demonstrates success
- Industry designations, such as CIC, CPCU or other designations that relate to the insurance industry
