How This Role Contributes to Brighthouse Financial:
Our small team offers analysts the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while being trained by seasoned Investment professionals. The Derivatives Analyst will work closely with our derivatives traders and portfolio managers. They will provide market surveillance, pre-trade analysis, trade entry and position reporting. Analysts also benefit from on-the-job training, online development tools and continuing education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist traders and Chief Derivative Officer in pricing, trading and valuing derivative products across multiple asset classes.
- Pre-trade analysis and modeling.
- Position reporting and ad-hoc risk analysis and project work.
- Monitoring risk, positions and P&L.
- Trade entry
- Providing weekly market commentary
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
- Bachelors degree. Economics, Finance, Accounting, Math, Engineering, or Science majors preferred.
- 02 years of work experience preferred. Knowledge of Derivatives a plus.
- Strong quantitative skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and VBA is required.
- Self-starter with intellectual curiosity, embrace a steep learning curve, and seek out responsibility.
- Programming skills a plus
