We are currently seeking an innovative, disciplined, and results-oriented Security Architect with relevant technical, business, and influencing skills to work in the Global Cybersecurity group.

Global Cybersecurity is responsible for the security and protection of Liberty Mutuals information and technology. In this role, you will provide technical security consulting to IT and business units regarding IT Risk management, application and infrastructure security. Develop security policy standards, procedures, guidelines and references both written and in code. Assess risk related to IT operations and advise on appropriate risk management. Provide technical and operational assessment of security products based on enterprise risk in the areas of mobile, physical, endpoint network and application development. Provides security portfolio technical support for strategies and roadmap (Identity & Access Management, Data Privacy & Protection, Application and Infrastructure Security)

About the role:

  • Provide clear written and verbal consulting to projects about security architecture and risk management in a security domain.
  • Develops strategy and roadmaps of enterprise security portfolio. Partners with Enterprise Security Governance to drive risk management practices and assessments.
  • Stay current on industry development and infrastructure trends by development of template code and design patterns.
  • Supports the alignment of enterprise security objectives and initiatives across all IT units.
  • Perform consulting related to security incident management.
  • Works with application teams to identify functional requirements that drive security technology that enables business functionality.
  • Provide security governance through the establishment of standards, procedures and guidelines.
  • Consult with IT training on security training courses across the enterprise.
  • Reports to IT Senior Management on technical status of enterprise IT security initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical discipline; Master's preferred. CISA and or CISSP preferred.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
  • 10+ years of experience in the security aspects relating to multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, and network protocols, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • In-depth understanding of business operations, objectives and strategies including but not limited to, insurance industry, financial services, global business and technology trends.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills; ability to influence and persuade, without direct control. High degree of flexibility and ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization with diverse backgrounds.
