Director of Commercial Liability Claims- central Florida (relocation approved)

Well respected insurance company is seeking a Director of Claims to oversee their major case unit focusing on high-exposure, complex litigated claims including construction defect.

The Director of Claims oversees the management of the major case unit encompassing employees who work both in the office and remotely. Responsibilities include providing direction for the claims practices of the unit, implementing and managing policies and procedures to enhance and improve the efficiency of the processing, investigation, and settlement of all claims; plus this person will assist as necessary on any high-exposure cases that get referred up to management. The Director is also responsible for mentoring, coaching, and developing employees using strategies in alignment with the companys core values. Qualified candidates will have an extensive background in liability claims, prior experience in construction defect claims, and proven management and mentoring experience overseeing a direct staff.
