As the Advanced Analytics Consultant on the Global Internal Audit (GIA) team, you have the exciting opportunity to assist the Global Internal Audit organization expand on their advanced analytics capabilities and enhance value to the Company. Work closely with GIA Management team to identify candidates for continuous audit analytics; partner with the Leadership team to investigate opportunities to employ predictive modeling to help inform internal audit planning and risk assessment. Explore opportunities to employ machine learning and robotic process automation (RPA) at various stages in the audit process and within our Fraud Detection & Investigation Unit. Leverage data to gain meaningful insights on emerging risks facing the Company; presents findings / recommendations and leads discussions with GIA senior leadership. Serve as consultant to audit teams as needed on highly complex and data-intensive audits.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with audit staff at all levels to develop a suite of continuous audit analytics over high-risk areas based on complex data for a defined business use case.

  • Serve as consultant on internal audit engagements. Coach audit teams on how to leverage data visualization tools to dynamically communicate trends and issues to clients and inform audit planning and execution.

  • Assist in improving audit execution efficiency with proactive, data-driven scoping; use data to inform the annual audit planning process and drive interim planning.

  • Through discussions with the Leadership team, define key risk indicators to apply to broad data sets to identify trends and outliers; leverage data to proactively monitor and identify real-time emerging risks.

  • Explore advanced analytic techniques and machine learning for the Fraud Detection & Investigation unit.

  • Assist Audit Operations Manager in identifying candidates for robotic process automation (RPA) and coordinate in execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and at least 5 years of related experience required.
  • Deep knowledge of data sources, tools and business drivers.
  • Ability to apply advanced analytical concepts to improve business outcomes.
  • Ability to build analytic tools that will be used by business teams to analyze results and opportunities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA, macros, scripts, formulas, data visualization, etc.), PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (SAS).
  • Must have good planning, analytical, decision-making and communication skills.
  • Ability to present data, visually and verbally, to guide conversations with business managers.
