Job Summary
Under moderate supervision, responsible for less complex financial analysis and preparing a variety of monthly, quarterly and annual financial and/or accounting reports. This position does not manage others.

Opportunity for visibility with Claim Senior Management.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare, evaluate and complete less complex internal and/or external financial and operational reports. Prepare less complex ad-hoc reporting. Perform preliminary meaningful analysis and interpretation of trends and variances in business performance. Use identified tools to obtain and compile data necessary to create less complex financial reports and analysis. Synthesize and present exhibits, results, observations, recommendations to direct manager and/or team members. Examples include: Monthly Management Reporting for Claim Senior Leadership (MCR), Quarterly Update on Claim Strategic Initiatives (Operating Committee), Annual Claim Business Planning and Year-End Accomplishments. Complete less complex financial activities for various lines of business including journal entries and account reconciliations, implementing necessary corrections.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of related experience or Bachelor's degree required.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred. Typically has 1 year of related work experience. Working knowledge of Financial Analysis concepts and processes. Working knowledge of the insurance business. Working knowledge of accounting practices and principles.

Intermediate analytical skills. Basic data utilization skills to access and gather data, including a basic understanding of what the data represents. Basic written and verbal communication skills. Intermediate time management and skills. Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Intermediate time management and basic project management skills. Demonstrated ability to identify customers needs and takes appropriate action to meet those needs. Demonstrated ability to work well in tight time frames and deadlines. Attention to detail.
