Overview

AmTrust Financial Services, a fast growing commercial insurance company, has an immediate need for a Claims Field Operations Manager. This role will report directly to the Director of Claims Field Operations. This position can be located near any AmTrust office.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Change Management related to workflow and process optimizations, system enhancements, or training efforts ensuring team cohesiveness through engagement of teams, stakeholders and project owners
  • Operational implementation and change management support for ongoing system enhancements and upcoming technology projects
  • Analyze Business and Operations Key Performance Indicators across all WC Claims Field Offices.
  • Documentation / Operational Plan for Business Model Optimization initiative and ongoing monitoring of the process for results
  • Support for Zonal Directors to analyze Ops results and build / implement target action plans to improve claims technical outcomes
  • Provide support to Claims Technology team to identify, evaluate and prioritize any system fixes and enhancement requests
  • WC Claims Business project planning and management of multiple large and complex projects simultaneously with strong focus on delivery
  • Identify and report on project health, risks, issues and dependencies. Effectively manage timely escalation and resolution of roadblocks
  • Assists in the maintenance and monitoring of internal controls and policies and procedures for field offices.
  • Ensure effective communication flow across and within teams. Deliver messaging that is appropriate for a range of audiences such as teams, leadership and end users
  • Operational process review, documentation, and analysis to identify and correct inefficiencies
  • General support of ad hoc operational projects and issues
Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in Workers Compensation and/or Commercial P&C Insurance highly desired
  • 3 + years Operations, Project Management or related work experience
  • Experience with Claims systems and/or processes
  • Experience with proper Change Management philosophy
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical staff and convey complex ideas both verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team environment
  • Ability to share knowledge and train others
  • Flexible team player who can work in a fast paced environment where ambiguity exists and priorities are subject to change
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Visio, Project, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to travel up to 33% of the time
