In this role, you will join our rapidly growing Reinsurance practice to help process and analyze client company data


As a reinsurance processing specialist, you will be working directly with our client companies to review monthly data submissions to ensure reporting accuracy and timeliness, as well as seeking processing efficiencies.
In this role you will be responsible for calculating premiums, commissions, and adjustments for monthly and quarterly reconciliation and analyzing data trends. Additionally, you will be an integral member of the cross-departmental relationship management team and attend regular internal client service meetings to discuss client company reporting metrics, program growth and data trends. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential.


This role is well suited for a candidate who has exemplary inter-personal skills and enjoys developing creative data-based solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis: Work cross-functionally across Equipment Breakdown to ensure our client companies have the unique needs of their reinsurance program set up accordingly. Reconcile policy detail reporting including location data, premiums, commissions, and loss data, to ensure financial bookings are accurate.
  • Process Development: Drive standardized processes across the equipment breakdown reinsurance team and segment owners that improve efficiency and accuracy in reporting and data analytics.
  • Onboarding New Clients: Assist the Client Service Team with on-boarding new client companies as they transition from a prospective client to a new partner company. On-boarding engagement may include participation in the preparation and attendance of client meetings, or calls that establish reporting expectations, including timelines, regular communication channels, and reconciliation procedures. Collaboration with internal stakeholders to streamline the customer experience and ease of product launch and/or transition is key.
  • New Business: Participate in prospecting efforts by assisting the New Business Development team with data analysis, including profitability trends based on pricing and loss data received, and communicating findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Client Servicing: Participates in regular meetings with the Client Service Team, including stakeholders from various business segments. Provide regular reports of key data metrics including premiums, commission, loss and adjustment expense reporting and reconciliation. Participate in problem resolution, and act as a liaison with internal segment representatives.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and similar software.
  • Ability to work directly with clients with a focus on relationship development through regular communication, including phone calls and in-person meetings, as well as timely email response and follow-up with documentation of key discussions.
  • Advanced analytical/problem solving and research skills with basic insurance knowledge.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent training required
