Due to a retirement, we are looking for our new head IT Officer. As Great West Casualty Company's top technology officer you will report directly to the President of the company and be responsible for leading an experienced IT team to improve Great West's performance and competitive position within the industry. Located at the intersecting points of Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota, South Sioux City is the location of our large corporate headquart ers and our central regional office. The "Siouxland" community is the perfect example of separate cities, states, and communities coming together to form one great place to live and work. Great West is a subsidiary of Old Republic Insurance Group who is one of the top 35 property/casualty insurers in the United States and is a commercial lines insurance carrier that focuses predominantly on providing liability insurance for specific sectors of the North American economy.

Additional responsibilities will include:
* Collaborating with business partners to develop change management plans that include strategy, communications, leadership coaching, and training procedures.
* Establishing business strategies and goals for the following IT departments: systems development, technical services, business technology services, and systems security.
* Leading team of IT managers to solve complex technological issues across the company.
* Measuring department's workload and productivity to create employment strategy to meet those needs.
* Researching and highlighting industry trends that need to be assessed and implemented.
* Serving as internal consultant for senior leadership within Great West and Old Republic Insurance Group.
