Business Development - Vice President

Tower Hill Specialty, an affiliate of Tower Hill Insurance Group is seeking a VP of Business Developmentto lead, execute and manage our distribution strategy.  This important role will own the relationship management functions with our external clients.  They will also work very closely with all levels of the organization to advocate and support for client’s needs. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for execution of strategies that result in achieving growth and profit objectives
• Prospect and develop new relationships within all distribution channels
• Develop a pipeline of future opportunities via relationship management and networking
• Effectively manage distribution channel conflicts
• Manage and develop Sales Department team members
• Facilitate on boarding for new producers
• Assist in obtaining necessary data required to finalize agreement and approval process of new relationships
• Partner with Agency Management, Training and Marketing to deliver education materials and training to distribution partners to insure both product offering and system proficiency
• Validate system ease of use with producers and promote new functionality of system
• Act as the point of contact for both the marketing and distribution functions
• Develop and deliver presentations to be consumed at all levels, agent, executive, corporate etc.
• Be comfortable working in a constantly changing environment.
• Travel up to 50% or as required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) and 5 – 10 years insurance industry experience required.
• Minimum 5 years Sales and/or Marketing experience in Specialty Personal Lines Products preferred
• CPCU, CIC, and / or P&C License; preferred
• High level of accuracy and organizational skills required.
• Possess the ability to learn new things in a relatively short period of time.
• Experience with Microsoft product suite.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills required.
