Position Summary

Under general supervision, manages relationship between TelePlus Claim Intake Department and clients, brokers, agents, the Claim Department and other internal business units. Serves as primary contact for customers relating to customer service provided during account setup, maintenance, claim intake, and validation processes. Accountable for developing and maintaining accurate account data, as well as client instructions for the Claim Intake staff.

Responsibilities

  • Investigates and analyzes errors relating to policy validation both during claim intake and from carriers making needed updates to resolve the error.*
  • Analyzes clients reporting needs to create organizational structures that will both work within the claim system and intake system while also meeting the clients needs.*
  • Monitors the claim validation process within the intake system ensuring claims are transferred efficiently to the claim system.
  • Coordinates the movement of claims between programs ensuring the claims being moved fits the destination programs setup and pass a number of system driven validations.
  • Sets up new programs within the claim system ensuring all required data elements are accurately applied as the setup drives many systematic validations that allow claims to be housed in a given program. Also makes updates to already existing programs as needed throughout the life of the program.
  • Sets up and maintains all policy information in both the intake system and claim system ensuring claims are driven to the correct program and the proper policies are applied and provided on the outbound carrier feeds.
  • Uses a number of preexisting queries to support changes within clients location structures, policy validation errors and claim tracking.
  • Monitors a dashboard of assigned tasks documenting the progress of the given task while also tracking the type of task and what client the task was for.
  • Communicates the various TelePlus services to existing and prospective customers, or others; Represents TelePlus in meeting with accounts and/or marketing personnel.
  • Able to handle multiple projects to assist management as well as other areas of responsibility.
  • Keeps supervisor informed verbally and in writing of activities and problems within assigned area of responsibility; refers matters beyond limits of authority and expertise to supervisor for direction.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as requested.
Requirements

  • Education equivalent to graduation from college or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two or more years experience as a TelePlus Representative or equivalent in customer service oriented activities.

  • Possesses a thorough working knowledge of TelePlus, and a good knowledge of insurance, claim handling procedures, and technical claim fundamentals.

  • Possesses the ability to answer or resolve the more difficult questions or problems regarding the claim intake and claim validation processes.
