In the Claims Support Customer Care Associate role, you will perform various support duties and processes insurance transactions, such as responding to internal and external requests for information and preparing documents, policy information and files for additional handling by other associates. Additionally, you will perform a moderate range of inbound customer-facing service functions that center around the First Notice of Loss (FNOL) process; follow procedures and apply intermediate-level administrative skills and insurance knowledge to accomplish both routine and non-routine tasks and duties; and reference and follow standard work for inbound customer claims capture process.

This position is based in Liberty Lake, WA.

Responsibilities:

Reviews, evaluates and categorizes incoming documents; verifies information for accuracy/appropriateness and follows up with others for missing or questionable data; prepares and assembles documents for additional handling by other associates or for distributing to outside contacts.

Performs initial capture of new, inbound Personal Insurance claims; Processes FNOL and performs enhanced capture steps as needed. Set expectations with customers on when updates on their claim status will be provided and provide contacts for temporary resources such as rental cars or tow trucks.

Enters and retrieves information of varying complexity using computer systems and applications to update records, obtain information for others and respond independently to most questions and problems.

Uses intermediate skills and business knowledge to prepare insurance forms/documents (identification cards, certificates, endorsements, schedules, etc.), correspondence and process other insurance transactions to provide customer service and support efforts to acquire and retain profitable business.

Processes caller transactions accurately and within established Contact Center metric standards through the use of standard work. Manages and utilizes time effectively to ensure the required standards for call capture, service expectations and quality customer outcomes are met.

Adheres to a published regular weekly schedule for Support tasks and Customer Service phone availability that balances Claims Call Center call volume and Support service level agreements.

Qualifications:

  • High School degree or equivalent training or experience in a business related field, or a minimum of 6 months related work experience is required. Customer Service experience preferred.

  • Ability to review record and organize written data from a variety of sources.

  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, and the capacity to multi-task in a structured work environment, are required.

  • Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information is critical. Proficiency with computers is mandatory.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and keyboard shortcuts is desired.

  • Must be able to type a minimum of 25 WPM.

  • Appropriate licenses upon hiring/training, along with a passing score on required Proficiency Assessments.
