Liberty Mutual IT Hosting Services is actively searching for a Product Owner for our Video Solutions portfolio who will be responsible for continuously improving how we deliver and maintain end user technology tools to optimize productivity for our 50K+ global associates and business partners. The core mission of this team will be to deliver conference room collaboration capabilities, webcasting and video streaming solutions that are used across all business units, globally.

About the job:

  • Be responsible for articulating and translating the overall vision into strategy and tactics for a particular product. Communicate the product strategy effectively to key stakeholders and team members.

  • Be responsible and accountable for assigned product level key performance indicators (KPI`s) and managing product(s) with a medium-high degree of strategy, KPI, scope, complexity, etc.

  • Define minimum viable product (MVP). Own the product backlog (refinement, prioritization and refinement)

  • Work day to day with the scrum team clarifying business requirements, removing roadblocks, constantly communicating and gaining alignment around product strategy.

  • Ensure delivery of scope, partner with delivery teams to ensure user stories are clear, removes barriers for team members and resolves open issues/questions quickly and efficiently.

  • Act as an advocate for the customer and ensure solutions delivered provide an optimized end-to-end experience that delights. Work with other organizations within Liberty (Security, Network, Procurement, etc.) to negotiate and strike balance between customer experience while meeting required security and compliance needs.

  • Analyze feasibility, cost ramifications, economies, or other aspects of planned or potential programs.

  • Set the quality standard for delivery. Develop test plans (user story acceptance criteria), accept each story and potentially features and participate in team demos and retrospectives to validate quality, provide feedback to team and improve team processes. Partner across functions as needed to coordinate delivery plans, testing, training and support.

  • Lead problem resolution as needed to ensure that internal and external customers receive prompt, efficient service.

  • Communicate the product strategy effectively to key stakeholders and team members. Incorporate stakeholder input into product roadmap while effectively negotiating tradeoffs of conflicting priorities based on value to the business and customer.

  • Be responsible for core productivity application integrations and resulting customer experience, including office productivity, OS features and built-in tooling, such as endpoint security, remote access, etc.

  • Keep pace with emerging technology and features relevant to the product, educating customers and stakeholders on art of the possible (e.g. MS Teams, Autopilot, Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection, etc.).

  • Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience; Master`s degree preferred.
  • Generally, a minimum of 7 years related experience.

  • An ability to depict complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences; educate SBU/department(s) on business vision and plan and the impact of change.

  • Demonstrated the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where organizational skills are essential
  • Experience implementing technical solutions to fulfill business objectives, including but not limited to vendor engagements, proof of concept reviews, configuration/development, and implementation.
  • Intelligence, are self-starting, self-confident and behave with integrity and accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to develop metrics, perform critical analysis and deliver executive level proposals
  • Experience driving innovation and value to the customer; building partnerships and delivering new capabilities in support of compelling business cases
  • Solid domain knowledge in enterprise end user technology
  • Experience working environments of significant scale and capacity

Highly Competitive Applicants Will Have

  • Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean Startup, XP) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers, Business Analysts)
  • Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills with a track record of taking solution ownership
  • Experience working in a Fortune 500 company.

  • Experience working with Polycom, Cisco, or other video collaboration infrastructure, Endpoint and immersive telepresence systems

  • Experience with managed events and Conference Center technologies

  • An understanding of streaming technologies for delivery of Enterprise-wide Live and Video on Demand (VoD) content

  • Familiarity with Digital signage platforms and associated content distribution
