Job Introduction:

This role will work across both the Cloud Visibility & Threat Defense Team and the SOC Development Team using agile methods to deliver key technology in direct alignment with the business strategies. This position is a member of two scrum teams and is responsible for facilitating the scrum process. Coaches team members and proactively eliminates barriers and addresses challenges to team delivery on sprint goals. Works closely with the Product Owner to support release planning. Fosters team decision making; encourages cross-training and team support.

About the job:

  • Guides the scrum team on organization on how to use scrum and Agile practices and methodology.
  • Oversees scrum process and coaches the team; facilitates transparency, inspection, and adaption.
  • Lead daily scrum, sprint review, and planning meetings to ensure full team engagement. Manages interdependencies between agile teams.
  • Works with the Product Owner to support short and long-term release planning, and to keep work backlog health and prepared for execution.
  • Shields the team from external interference to enable optimal functionality and productivity.
  • Anticipates and addresses potential or actual impediments to team delivery (cultural barriers, logistic challenges).
  • Fosters close cooperation across all team members; encourages cross-training and team support.
  • Builds a trusting and safe environment where problems may be raised without fear of reprisal.
  • Administers Audit and Compliance duties on behalf of the team.
  • Ensure development standards are met and coaches the team on development best practices.
  • Administers metrics tracking and other duties on behalf of the team.

Desired skills:

  • Bachelor`s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in agile software development including coaching on agile methodologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, architectures and technical standards. Ability to coach team and stakeholders on agile practices and ensure adherence to agile methodology. Able to resolve conflicts; strong mediation skills.
  • Strong communication skills, to deliver complex messages and teach new concepts.
  • Strong problem solver with ability to coach and mentor a team to maximize progress and potential.
