Treasury Management Specialist 1 Job Summary
Salary Range: $40,116.00-$46,133.00-$52,151.00


The Treasury Management Specialist 1 assists the commercial banking team with support including, but not limited to, account opening/maintenance, document preparation, and online banking/cash management, both in person and online for individual and business customers. Develops and maintains strong working relationships and provides superior customer service to Westfield Bank customers.

Essential Functions (primary functions and/or reasons the job exists in order of importance)
1. Assists the commercial banking team with support including, but not limited to, account opening/maintenance, document preparation, and online banking/cash management, in person and online for individual and business customers.
2. Provides superior customer service (e.g. answering phone calls, responding to emails in a timely manner) to Westfield Bank customers consistent with the Banks defined policies and procedures.
3. Proficient in the set up and service of remote check capture, cash management, and deposit products and procedures.
4. Develops and maintains strong working relationships with bank customers.
5. Provides assistance to new and established bank customers, including cross-selling of products and services.
6. Refers new business to banking partners (retail, consumer, mortgage and commercial).
7. Participates in networking events within the community through memberships, outside business events and professional associations.
8. Provides assistance in response to regulatory and internal/external audit requests.
9. Maintains awareness, understanding, and compliance with the Bank's internal policies and procedures, laws, and regulations appropriate for this position.
10. Assists in training and development on business products and services for Client Service team.
11. Travels as needed in order to perform other essential functions.

Desired Qualifications/Experience/Certification/Education (in order of importance)
1. Minimum of 3 years of relevant banking experience.
2. Understanding of banking business including product structure options, and product profitability.
3. Ability to assist bank customers in problem resolution.
4. Excellent written and verbal communications skills including the ability to build rapport and trust.
5. Ability to build effective relationships.
6. Ability to operate in a fast-paced, flexible work environment with competing demands.
7. Commitment to high integrity and ethics.
8. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office (Excel, Word) or other transferable software packages.
9. Bachelors degree or commensurate experience.
10. Valid drivers license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Ability to work effectively in an office environment for 40+ hours per week (including sitting, standing, and working on a computer for extended periods of time).
Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative work environment utilizing various technologies such as: telephone, computer, web, voice, teleconferencing, e-mail, etc.
Ability to travel as required.
Ability to operate an automobile within the parameters of the driving policy.
