Overview

AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. is looking for a Client Technology Specialist. We are seeking an experienced technology professional who is interested in joining a collaborative technical team responsible for transforming the way we support our end users across the globe. This position will be a member of a small team consisting of two Client Technology Specialists, both acting as subject matter experts in the areas of end user computing technologies. The ideal candidate must have extensive desktop or systems support experience. The newly formed team will focus on standardizing and improving the delivery of our End User Support services. Working closely with our Client Engineering team, the Client Technology Specialist will play a critical role with client image management, hardware/software deployments, patching, security vulnerability remediation, and all associated duties in a collaborative and fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

o Manages the implementation of technical solutions to support business initiatives and long-term strategy in alignment with GTOs overall vision.
o Serves as a technical expert collaborating with other areas of IT and the business to assess, troubleshoot, resolve or make recommendations to address complex computer hardware and software issues.
o Acts as a resource to other Technology Services staff as they consult with users to identify and resolve problems, understand needs, assess feasibility, and develop effective technology solutions to meet those needs.
o Assist with the research, customization, packaging, quality assurance, deployments, testing and maintenance of end-user technology.
o Assist with the establishment and implementation of an approach to build, test, and maintain software packages in support of corporate initiatives and business needs.
o Participate in the design and management of enterprise desktop and laptop systems.
o Assistance with all migration projects associated with end user computing.
o Optimize systems by identifying and leveraging integration opportunities at the hardware, software and interface level.
o Assist with the creation and maintenance of standards related to system configurations, security, and other IT services.
o Act as the focal point to integrate new technologies/systems into the existing environment.
o Provide Level 3 desktop support to the organization as needed.
o Assist with the evaluation and in the selection of new systems/tools and software for the Enterprise.
o Assist with the evaluation of current processes, procedures, and technology with an emphasis on identifying methods of improving effectiveness in providing support to end users.
o Coordinate process for packaging applications, testing and distributing applications.
o Resolve escalated technical support incidents from the Service Desk
o Provide leadership by example to the Desktop Support team.
o Devise and implement strategy to build, test, maintain and update the OS images necessary to support all client owned End User Computing hardware.
o Maintain documentation for Standard Operating Procedures and System Configuration Items.
o Works individually and with teams on both structured and unstructured assignments.
o Manage Active Directory group, user, and computer accounts, configure access permissions and rights, group policies.
o Perform other tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum of (8) years of experience in a Senior End User Support/Systems Role.
Minimum of (3) years hands on experience supporting OS system builds, patching, and deployment.
Minimum of (2) years of experience working with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
Knowledgeable in the areas in which client technology interacts within an enterprise environment (networks/applications/servers).
Excellent technical knowledge as it relates to:
o Active Directory
o Office 365
o SCCM
o Software Center
o Office 2016
o Group Policy Management
o Hardware Encryption (Bitlocker)

A desire and ability to build new processes and drive efficiencies through collaborative solutions.
In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Client OS platforms required.
Experience utilizing SCCM for Patch management for Windows OS required.
Experience with software distribution & deployment technologies via SCCM required.
Experience with SCCM and managing enterprise patch management programs preferred.
Must have strong verbal and technical writing communication skills.
Excellent prioritization, attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
A commitment to quality and solution-oriented services are required.
Ability organize and facilitate meetings between technical teams; act as situation manager; and communicate with IT leadership.
Ability to work with minimal direction, either independently or as part of a team.
Familiarity with risk assessment for remediating security vulnerabilities preferred.
Experience managing enterprise patch management programs preferred.
Data analysis and security trend reporting knowledge preferred.
Some PowerShell/Scripting experience is required. Other scripting languages will be considered.
Windows OS System Imaging
Mac support experience required
Hardware encryption (Bitlocker)
Working knowledge of virtual desktop environments
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interface with senior level staff is required.
Microsoft Certification (Win 10) preferred.
The ideal candidate will be process and detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
BS in Computer Science, Networking, or other IT related field, or a mix of education and work experience preferred.
