Job Summary
Travelers has an exciting opportunity for a developer on our Claim Technologies team, within the Travelers Innovation Center. You will be joining an innovative group that is creating forward thinking software solutions. You will support the Claim organization by delivering, implementing and administering technology solutions that enable all Claim employees to be more effective at their jobs and meet the needs of our company's customers.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, test, develop, deploy, maintain and improve software assets
• Manage priorities, deadlines and deliverables

• Work closely on an agile team of product owner, other engineers and scrum master in a collaborative environment
• Actively participate in solution design with system engineers and architects

Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or its equivalent in work experience, and five years of programming/development experience.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
7 years of programming/development experience preferred. Experience as a technical lead preferred.

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience
• UX/UI design exposure and experience in making apps work intuitively with stunning interfaces
• Experienced in Test Driven Development Methodologies
• Comfortable with Pair Programming
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated to explore new technologies, applications and environments
• Excellent attention to detail
• Self-starter, highly motivated, active team-player
• Excellent collaborative skills
