About the job:

Liberty Mutuals Capture Technology team in GRM US Document Solutions is seeking an experienced, motivated .NET developer to be part of a mature Agile team. You will have the opportunity to work with an energetic team to build innovative document capture solutions & full stack web development to support our Imaging operations. You will work with technologies consisting of OpenText Captiva Capture, .NET framework, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET WebAPI, Entity Framework, AngularJS, and SQL Server. You will also assist in migrating these capabilities to the cloud.

You will be responsible for all stages of the development lifecycle, from reviewing business requirements, to design, to construction and test, to deployment. We value quality code delivery and expect candidates to demonstrate competence at writing, testing and debugging their code. The industry changes quickly, so we are looking for candidates who can respond to change, pick up new technologies quickly, and adapt to changing requirements. We also want candidates who take pride in their work and have strong design and development expertise.

For this role we will be considering a range of experience levels from associate to senior software developers.

In this role you will:

  • Work with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and peer developers to iteratively create solutions that meet business and technical requirements

  • Analyze technical system problems, and design and implement effective solutions

  • Handle end-to-end development, including coding, testing, and debugging during each cycle

  • Design and develop end-to-end Captiva Capture Flows.

  • Design and develop OCR/ICR solutions and proof of concepts with Captiva Advanced Recognition.

  • Develop customizations utilizing C# .Net and Captiva APIs.

  • Collaborate with business SMEs to define capture flows, data models, and business rules

  • Create and maintain technical documentation including Captiva design, architecture, and testing.

  • Develop automated tests (Unit, System, Integration, Regression)

  • Mentor new and junior developers

  • Maintain and enhance a web application using ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET WebAPI, AngularJS, & Entity Framework ORM.

  • Learn other Document Capture platforms and related technology.

Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience, technical degree preferred.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development

  • Object oriented programming with Microsoft .Net (C#), including experience building custom libraries (DLLs), Windows services, and ability to develop and consume Web Services.

  • Web development experience using HTML5, CSS3 JavaScript, AngularJS (Angular 1.x)

  • Experience with developing efficient queries to perform CRUD operations on large amounts of data stored in Microsoft SQL Server, using Entity framework with LINQ, working with JSON data, writing complex queries & stored procedures.

  • Experience using ASP.NET MVC web and developing ASP.NET WebAPI services

  • Experience writing automated unit testing for front-end and middle-tier components using NUnit, Jasmine, etc.

  • Extensive knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies.

  • Experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Test Engineers).

  • Must be proactive, demonstrate initiative, and be a logical thinker.

  • Extensive understanding of backlog tracking, and incremental delivery.

  • Strong collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills required.

  • Identify and recommend appropriate continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.

Desired:

  • Experience with Captiva 6.x or 7.x.

  • Dispatcher/Advance Recognition project design and development of DPPs including HPAs, Keyword Rules, Free Form, Regular Expressions

  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies - Azure or AWS
