Merchants Insurance Group has an exciting and rewarding career opportunity for a Workers’ Compensation Claims Assistant to join our Claims Department in our Corporate Headquarters.
The Workers’ Compensation Claims Assistant (WCCA) is responsible for providing quality customer service to the claims staff, agents, insureds, claimants and other external customers. The WCCA is responsible for providing quality customer service through assisting the claims staff in multiple claim handling tasks, the equitable disposition of assigned complexity level 1 workers’ compensation claims, taking and setting up first reports, answering claims questions for internal and external customers and assisting claims Supervisors and Adjusters in filing forms electronically with state compensation boards.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum 1 year previous customer service experience, workers’ compensation background a plus. Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
