Our client, a strong, reputable and stable independent insurance agency located in the Brooklyn, NY area, has an immediate need for a skilled Commercial Lines Account Executive for their growing commercial lines team.  This is a fantastic opportunity with a strong mid-sized agency.

In this role, the Account Executive will be responsible for servicing a book of Commercial Lines accounts. The book of business consists of small commercial and middle market accounts, well balanced between real estate, construction, professional lines and other general lines.  The A.E. will service the book of business which will include underwriting, marketing, customer service, negotiating renewal, risk analysis, rating and more.  They will maintain relationships with clients, producers and company underwriters.  They will make sure the clients have proper coverage and make recommendations.

Compensation: Position will pay a strong and competitive base salary, the company is very flexible depending on experience.  There is also a bonus program.  The benefits package is strong as well, as the company offers group health, dental, vision, disability, group life insurance, 401k with a company profit sharing plan, generous paid time off, and paid holidays.

Requirements:

• Strong commercial property and casualty insurance background, coming from another independent agency or broker environment. 
• Candidate should have a strong knowledge of commercial insurance markets to place new and renewal business. 
• An active P&C license is a must. 
• A Bachelors Degree is preferred.
