Assurant is seeking a Financial Analyst III for the Atlanta, GA facility
The Financial Business Analyst will provide advanced financial support for the Lending Solutions Business Unit, including quarter and end closes, detailed revenue analysis and expense budget reporting. The analysts function is the ability to both understand the financial impact of system conversion, while supporting financial analysis and reporting for the Business Unit as well as projects that are complex in nature and that support the business unit objectives

Primary Responsibilities
- Perform analytical assignments of a complex nature
- Prepare forecasts of income and expenses
- Be highly involved in development of organization business policies
- Conduct finance and business-related studies
- Review business plans and profitability forecasts
- Review reports and forecasts of various merger, acquisition and divestiture opportunities
- Offer recommendations for investments alternatives
- Compile statistics related to income, expenses and assets
- Prepare and review financial performance statements
- Participate as a team leader, project team member or individual contributor.
- Build Rapport and working relationships with associates from other departments and our business partners
- Participate in management customer expectations
- Structure and compose written work products independently
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and/or at least 4 years related professional experience
- Knowledgeable of company products and services
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt procedures, processes and techniques to more complex problems and issues
- Apply advanced and sophisticated analytical techniques.
- Evaluation, originality and ingenuity are required
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Balance sheet and income statement analysis experience
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports and statements, using an advanced level of Excel (including pivot tables), PowerPoint, and Word
