Due to our explosive growth over the past few years, we are seeking to add to our team. We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to give our commercial clients and potential clients great customer service. This is a full-time position with great potential for the right person with the right attitude! The Account Manager deals with clients, customers, and insurance companies to assure that the needs of the clients are being served. Intelligence, the ability and willingness to solve problems, and the ability to work well with many types of people are crucial to the success of an Account Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages assigned accounts on a day-to-day basis which includes coordinating all services, answering questions, and resolving problems which may arise
  • Maintains a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with clients, agency, and company employees
  • Prepares thorough and complete submissions for the marketing of accounts
  • Initiate contact with the insurance carriers and submit marketing requests
  • Responsible for having an understanding of assigned accounts in order to give proper advice for changing situations, which may require modifications to existing coverage

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Reviews contracts and special certificate of insurance requests for compliance and response to insured
  • Responsible for making sure that all the terms and conditions of the insurance policies written by the insurance company are properly prepared and provides all of the coverage that was presented to the insured in our proposal
  • Track status of marketing submissions
  • Provide carriers / underwriters with updated information as requested
  • Compile, review, and respond to all quotations and declinations
  • Answer intermediate coverage questions, i.e. policy coverage questions, scenario questions, how coverage applies etc. (may need to pull policy for answers)
  • Review policies and endorsements for accuracy
  • Manage and maintain expiration lists
  • Issue certificates
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of Property and Casualty insurance experience
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelors or Associates degree preferred
  • Texas Property and Casualty Insurance License required
  • REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Ability to work with internet based programs
  • Exceptional client and customer service skills
  • Strong verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sets priorities and manages work flow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities
  • Maintain a cordial and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors and other business contacts
  • Continuous knowledge acquisition of industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages and technology
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems created and presented by the business environment
  • Ability to effectively and consistently meet deadlines and production targets while flexible enough to deal effectively with change
  • Ability to professionally communicate with individuals at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting; adaptable, creative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Skilled in being a self-motivating, analytical, and proactive team player

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of AMS 360 preferred
  • Experience in the homeowners association/condominium management industry
