The Programmer Analyst will act as a liaison between core business units and the Information Services Department regarding the use of the commercial lines application software within the respective business units. Ideal candidate will be able to Translate user requirements into high-level system specification, develop and coordinate user testing, and assist in training and implementation of new systems and system enhancements. Additional duties include:

• Analyzes the needs of the users by providing technical support for the IS /Systems Development Department, such as coding, designing, implementing and debugging program
• Leads trouble shooting activities for daily production issues and follow-up on any corrective measures if necessary.
• Act as technical programmer analyst for the commercial development software.
• Coordinates all aspects of implementation and documents those changes
• Plays a critical role in the implementation of all agency automation initiatives
• .NET development experience using either C# or VB
• Web Development experience including ASP>NET, HTML, JavaScript and jQuery
• Analyzes end user data needs and develops user-oriented solutions that interface with our existing systems Problem Solver
• Designs systems, programs and coordinates the review of these specifications
• Maintains and modifies programs, makes approved changes on at least one or more of the companies systems
• Other duties as assigned

• 4 to 6 years of programming experience with a working knowledge of the Companys primary systems
• Previous insurance related experience preferred
• A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
