Advance your career at Liberty Mutual Insurance- A Fortune 100 Company!   The Global Research Team in Global Public Markets is seeking a Sovereign Analyst to join our Investments Organization. Key Responsibilities:   * Responsible for in depth country analysis and supporting investment decisions within assigned countries across fixed income strategies. * Generate investment recommendations across sovereign credit, rates and FX for countries under coverage working in concert with the public markets strategy and analytics research team.* Present country and regional economic outlook and market updates to EM and broader fixed income teams, write up commentaries for fixed income publications on a periodic basis* Serve as a core member of the public markets strategy and analytics team, helping to drive decision making and positioning within analyst's area of focus.* Support portfolio management activities by conducting topical research within area of focus as needed.* Update internal platforms regularly with country level views and investment recommendations. * Work across macro and fundamental research to support the development of macro investment themes. * Support continued build out of our emerging market sovereign research process and capabilities

Qualifications:

• Proven credit skills: excellent bottom-up fundamental modeling and analytical skills, and strong attention to detail. Understanding of relative value/risk return trade off over a credit cycle
• 5 to 10 years of credit experience, with deep sovereign-rating experience in Emerging Markets and/or Developed Markets.  Direct experience making sovereign-backed investment recommendations required.
• A track record of successful investing and consistent alpha generation
• Experience in a total return investing environment
• Deep expertise and insight used to challenge consensus and decision making
• Strong financial modeling and analysis skills.
• Excellent communication skills with a demonstrable capacity to articulate investment insights
• Investment experience from buy-side, sell-side or rating agency environment preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and be a team player
• Strong quantitative and qualitative skills
• Unquestionable integrity and ethical character
• Self-motivated, resourceful, hard-working, diligent
• MBA (or equivalent) and/or CFA preferred
• Based on experience level, there may be management opportunities
