Job Summary
The Digital Marketing Analyst is responsible for supporting reporting and measurement efforts specific to enterprise digital marketing across multiple channels including search engine optimization, websites, landing pages, display, search mobile, social and/or email. The analyst will be part of Traveler's cutting-edge effort to understand the impact of marketing by creating dashboards and providing business insights to all levels of management. Understanding of how to evaluate digital marketing performance against goals and leveraging key performance indicators (KPIs) will be useful. The candidate should be able to interface with business partners and be able to communicate the core insights effectively. The Digital Marketing Analyst will learn from the Enterprise Digital Marketing analytics team best reporting practices. They must be a self-starter able to make progress on projects on their own.

Any familiarity with common metrics used by social media channels, digital advertising, Web sites, search, content and interactive experiences will be helpful. They should understand how to evaluate digital marketing performance against goals and leveraging key performance indicators (KPIs).

Along with other technical skills, they must have excellent spreadsheet and visualization skills. This includes strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. The candidate should have the ability to learn web analytics software such as Google Analytics, IBM Digital Analytics (CoreMetrics), Tealium tagging solution, and the metrics capabilities of social networks including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. Familiarity with leading marketing visualization platforms like Beckon, Domo, QlikView, etc is a plus. An ideal candidate will have strong inclination to learn or would have 2-3 years of experience in marketing measurement.


Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for researching, analyzing and producing weekly and monthly marketing performance reports
  • Responsible for researching, analyzing, and producing marketing campaign reports
  • Responsible for updating marketing dashboards with some training and supervision.
  • Assisting other Digital Analytics staff pulling data from various platforms.
  • Apply digital analytics techniques to accurately report on marketing campaigns, content, social and search.
  • Use marketing technologies to measure effectiveness of digital media
  • Understand key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure campaign and resource performance and identify efforts for improving engagement, acquisition, and/or retention.
  • Partner with internal and external resources to build and deliver weekly, monthly and annual reports.
  • Support efforts to build an automated marketing dashboard and continuously improve the dashboard based on business needs.
  • Participate in discussions with team members on business programs and initiatives.
  • Work with external vendor partners, specifically in the area of digital analytics.
  • Participate in discussions with team members to understand the goals of business partners and provide insights and analysis on strategies to address those goals (via digital, social and mobile, and content marketing).
  • Become familiar with functions performed by other marketing disciplines.
  • Assist in developing digital research and intelligence programs to drive insights for marketing.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years digital marketing analyst experience required. Previous experience with web analytics reporting applications (IBM Digital Analytics (formerly Core metrics), Google Analytics, etc.) required. Thorough knowledge of MS Excel required.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics,Business, Marketing or related discipline prior to starting job (Master's degree preferred).
Knowledge or wiliness to learn SQL, modeling, marketing metrics, etc
Ability to effectively communicate with business partners, manage time and projects.
General knowledge of digital marketing metrics (Engagement Rate, CTR, CPC) preferred.
Thorough knowledge of MS Excel required (Pivot tables, etc).
Knowledge or experience of dashboarding tools, KPI, etc preferred.

1 or 2 years of digital marketing experience required.
Previous experience with web analytics reporting applications (IBM Digital Analytics (formerly Core metrics), Google Analytics, etc.) preferred.
General knowledge of digital marketing metrics (Engagement Rate, CTR, CPC) preferred.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and communicate findings in non-technical terms preferred.
Excellent time management skills, and collaborative nature preferred.
Ability to evaluate results and provide insights to the digital marketing team preferred.
Ability to work independently

Basic skills and understanding of digital advertising landscape preferred.
