Liberty Mutual Investments (LMI), a subsidiary of Liberty Mutual Insurance, is seeking a Derivatives Analyst to assist with the reporting requirements related to its Derivative portfolio. The derivative portfolio includes a mix of commodity, interest, credit, equity and foreign currency derivatives.Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation of financial reporting deliverables for monthly, quarterly and annual book close activities related to the derivatives portfolio
- Analysis of derivative results for all derivative strategies in use for the period.
- Work with third party service providers to ensure accurate and timely execution of derivative deliverables
- Maintain the derivative subledger, which includes monthly reconciliation to source information
- Prepare hedge (replication) effectiveness testing in accordance with internal processes/procedures and US GAAP, when applicable
- Contribute to the preparation of executive team, portfolio management team and board deliverables.
- Maintenance of derivatives dashboards, and the presentation of those dashboards to management
- Collaborate on the maintenance LMI's process and control, and accounting policies and procedures, as it relates to derivatives
- Audit coordination with both internal and external auditors
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Working towards a CPA or CFA
- 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting or financial analysis
- Experience with derivatives preferred
- Proficiency of MS products
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
