Absence Management is a fast growing business within the York Risk Services family of companies. Focused on delivering innovative solutions to employers in the realm of absence management, York has experienced double digit growth over the last several years and is seeking highly motivated and collaborative professionals to join this dynamic organization. York is seeking a Product Manager to develop and execute product improvement and expansion enabling organizational growth, automation and compliance consistent with strategy and vision as it relates to Leave and Disability administration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will span various strategic and tactical activities, engaging with cross-functional teams to execute product goals and projects.

• Create and execute product strategy by:

• Evaluating product gaps and opportunities between existing product line and market need

• Developing and executing a product road map to meet market need and business objectives

• Establishing a process for systematic and ongoing market and field inputs into the product development process

• Developing/Enhancing products through the life cycle of ideation, requirements, execution, timetables, pricing, marketing and ongoing monitoring

• Continuously gathering and analyzing competitor data, client requests and market trends

• Maintaining a strong understanding of changing legislative and regulatory environment and competitive landscape to drive profitable growth of new and existing products

• Creating sales documentation to represent and evangelize absence capabilities

• Participating in request for proposal content, sales presentations and finalist presentations

• Acting as subject matter expert for technical resources, sales, operations, training and clients

Skills/Qualifications

Education:

BS/BA

Preferred

Certified in CPDM and/or CDMS

MBA

Experience:

5-7 years of relevant experience in the fields of absence management, insurance, and/or human capital management

Preferred

5+ years of relevant absence management experience

3+ years of Product Management experience

Core Competencies:

Excellent analytical, presentation, communication, time management, organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills are necessary

Excellent Leadership skills with proven ability to direct, influence and motivate teams toward a common goal

Experience with Project Management and track record of delivering results

Knowledge of Absence management market, regulations, trade and data organizations, brokers, competitors and consultants

Demonstrated ability to express ideas clearly and concisely (both orally and in written form) to multiple audiences including executives, clients and claims teams

In-depth knowledge of federal and state leave laws such as the FMLA, ADA and disability administration

Technical Skills:

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and Excel
