  Responsibilities  

The Manager of Leadership and Organizational Development performs complex leadership, management, administrative and professional duties in the development and execution of a comprehensive and strategic organizational development program for ACE. This position requires regular contact with individuals at all levels of the organization on a variety of complex issues. This position leads professional skills improvement, project management, leadership, and executive development programs on an organization-wide basis by managing coaching and mentoring programs, formal career development programs, succession planning and overall organizational development initiatives. Leads all corporate communication efforts through a variety of media channels. This position manages both the leadership development consultant and corporate communications teams for AAA.

  Qualifications
  • Ability to lead a team both locally and remotely across multiple markets
  • Coach and develop team members
  • Coach and develop external employees across organization
  • Design and maintain programs that support leadership development for all levels in the organization, including senior management and executives
  • Plan, organize, develop, implement and provide effective leadership and management of an organization-wide strategy that facilitates the development of managers and other future leaders with a focus on business goals and culture.
  • Manage one-on-one coaching and formal coaching for multiple levels of leadership to support management effectiveness and leadership development.
  • Design and present leadership training; develops and manages ongoing systems to reinforce continuous employee development.
  • Facilitate succession planning efforts
  • Direct and manage cross-functional committees and supervise the design and implementation of their programs intended to promote improved member service and workforce performance through professional development, and interdepartmental business process improvements
  • Regularly make decisions involving the direction of major projects. Implements plans that affect the strategic direction of assigned projects. Leads in the development and implementation of new training needs.
  • Ability to manage corporate communications and employee engagement programs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • LMS knowledge.
  • B.A. or equivalent combination of work experience and education required. B.A. in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Training or Communication preferred. MA/MBA preferred.
  • Certificates from ATD or similar organizations preferred.
  • Insurance or travel related professional designations preferred.
  • SPHR preferred.
  • MBTI certification preferred. 


Qualifications

Experience:
  • 3+ years in administering learning and development programs*
  • 3+ years in managing employees and/or supervisors
  • Experience working in a multi-state environment, with learners in numerous geographies and time zones
  • Experience in developing a training curriculum and multiple content areas for a multi- state audience, with a high degree of input from and collaboration with multi-state team members.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
  • Ability to work collaboratively with, and to seek input from, a wide range of parties in multiple locations with various job functions, inside and outside of AAA
  • Proven skills in project management
  • Travel Required: 15-20% of time.
